This piece is an investigation of the historical beginnings of symbolic/visual language. It dives into what it means to make semantic structures with images. It also makes the reader focus on meaning creation as there seems to be a message being commented by a graphic language. Where is the meaning? Is it either in the sentence presented or in the viewer's mind? When was visual language created and what did it look like in its early stages? The style of the work is rooted in traditional painting while bringing awareness to its sculptural qualities. The mode used to paint the work is concerned with the mediums physicality and makes heavy use of layers. The work in general is evocative of stone surfaces for its almost-topographic qualities.
