Alvaro was born in Madrid, in 1972. Since his early years he showed a clear will to discover the world and experience its diversity in all aspects most especially the different cultures and the most varied forms of arts like cinema, music, theater, painting and so forth. This innate attraction towards the different cultures made both traveling and world cuisine two of his greatest passions. As part of his formal education, Alvaro studied Marketing and Business which eventually made him enter the world of fashion which he worked for during fourteen years. This vast experience enriched his natural and acute sense for the esthetics, materials and colors all of which he would later apply to the design and creation of his hand painted T shirts which served as his introduction to art creation while exploring and using a wide range of materials and techniques in his artworks. Later on, his six year assignment as an international area manager for a software multinational company provided Alvaro with the opportunity of further traveling the globe thoroughly discovering and deepening his knowledge of different parts of the world, most noticeable Asia which served as an inspiration to his work as an artist and made him a profound admirer of asian culture whose influence in his work became notorious. Alvaro has also completed his professional profile by finishing a Master in New Technologies and Social Networking to deepen his knowledge and better comprehending of all available digital means which have become ever more relevant for today´s art creation, as a means of commercialization and self-presentation and divulging of one´s work. Concerning his formal studies as an artist Alvaro has followed different schools and atelier´s works but considers himself a self-taught graphic and plastic artist driven by a free spirit and a very developed sense of adventure as well as a will to learn from the New and the Different. All of this has taken him to live in very diverse areas of the world such as Madrid, Sydney, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro and Montevideo where he currently resides
