WATCHING TIDES Painting

After completing my BA(Hons) in Illustration at The University for the Creative Arts in Kent, UK. I spent 4 years living in Brighton UK. We loved the buzz of the city, the sea and the many creative and passionate people we met. I set up a small business called ‘Daubs & Dashes’ where I created hand painted silk scarves reflecting my travels around Iceland and Italy. They were stocked in galleries, small boutiques, online stores, and spotted in Harpers Bazaar Magazine. Since moving to Buckinghamshire we have renovated an old building at the end of the garden creating a gorgeous new studio space. The change in environment and the space in the studio have energised a new phase of work. Creating more colourful and abstract designs. Inspired by travel & vast landscapes I work with a variety of mediums, including; painting onto silk, paper and board, paper cut collages, and printmaking. I have always been keen to experiment with new techniques and materials. These influence and inform one another; helping the work to stay fresh and enable it to continually evolve.
