About The Artwork

The title refers to a Japanese term to describe artwork or other things that are imperfect, possibly rustic, like the American term shabby chic. The square format is a sometime favorite. As in this painting, my work is inspired by nature. The greens and browns and blues are reminiscent of landscape, as is the horizontal structure.
