The inspiration for this painting came from a feeling - a feeling of waiting for new times. This feeling is an intrapersonal experience that relates to one self. When we wait for new times the future is uncertain – like the painting style is sporadic diffuse and unclear. The colors are held in optimistic nuances like the woman’s pose. For me the painting invites me to be hopeful and optimistic.
