ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My own passion for surfing inspired me to create this piece. With a dark/black backdrop of a cliff face, the late afternoon sun, and the blue of the ocean all in contrast. I wanted to play with the spray coming off the wave with some splatter, almost feeling like there are some abstract aspect. The surfer is focused and looking down the line of the wave in a meditative state. Yet calm and collected like a master at her sport, comfortably sliding, gliding suspended in time. You will feel drawn to what the surfer "lady slider" is feeling and experiencing. A feeling of intrigue and wonder.
