About The Artwork

These large oil paintings depict a pond of lilies and carp koi. The goal was to create the illusion of an infinite whole, water without a horizon and a shore and life in it. In these paintings, the key element is missing - the horizon. Summer, 8 in the morning, the first signs of life appear on the surface of the water. Your soul feels calm feeling the morning breeze shaking the surface of the water. It is the best time to reflect and meditate. Koi carp symbolizes longevity and perseverance. Legend has it that if a carp manages to climb a waterfall it will be rewarded for its effort by turning into a dragon. Under a graceful and delicate appearance with bright colours, carp are very resistant fish capable of surviving even in icy waters. Watching them swim is a spectacle, moving gracefully in circles and forming a whirlpool of colours and life. Water, where life was born and only thanks to it continue.

"My goal is to share positive thoughts and encourage people to stop and look at the world around them! Works of art should bring joy, good emotions and the desire to enjoy life." Vitaly Leshukov was born in Ukraine, but has been living in Spain for many years, which of course is reflected in his landscapes but he also works in other styles and very successfully. The beginning of his artistic life is curious: a motorcycle accident, then 5 days in a coma. And after a difficult period of recovery and long reflection on life, he felt an overwhelming desire to paint. His work is a symbol of unyielding perseverance in the face of life's circumstances. Vitaly's art is multifaceted, contrasting color palettes evoke a strong emotional response. His favorite technique is impasto. Powerful strokes of thick oil paint make texture and volume contrast with light and create a real sense of movement and vibration on the canvas. His works are in private collections and museums worldwide: Switzerland, Taiwan, China, Ukraine. France, USA, Belgium, Israel, Kazakhstan, Ireland, Spain. Participant of many international exhibitions and Art Fairs. @leshukovvitaly
