Water Margin Painting

Biography There’s something about painting and what it means to me that I cannot easily describe. From an early age I had been aware of Abstract Art and the expression and freedom it brings. No constraints or boundaries. Freedom, excitement, fulfilment and most of all complete enjoyment. I have experimented and established my own original Abstractive style and work with mediums and materials especially chosen that compliment my controlled and technical methods that I have adapted to paint on this surface. This has been a long experimental process where I use these different techniques to tease and entice paint to move locations upon the surface, to achieve a balanced, colourful and flowing end result. Painting this way enables me to express myself to my best abilities and skills. From the original conceptual idea, to application of paint, planning, timing, drying, thinning and overloading the medium. All added at deliberate intentional stages through the process that allows a steady emergence of my work. Watching it grow and change in front of me, inspiring me to produce totally original fine art at its best. Each colour, shape, texture and position on the surface are all intentionally added with an overall plan to produce a balanced, exciting, bright complimented artwork that I hope shows the entire process working together as one. A lot of my art changes when viewed from different places, angles or positions and many people have expressed their own versions of what they see in front of them. My art means different things to different people. I don’t have heavy hidden meanings behind my work. I paint because it brings me great enjoyment.
