Artist Statement Jolanda Bakker - van der Ploeg Born in 1981 in Middenmeer and now based in Schagen, the Netherlands, I create vibrant, expressionistic paintings with Lascaux acrylics, drawing inspiration from the stories of my life, dreams, and the world around me. I am a modern artist helping collectors find emotion throught expressionism, nature, and dreams. I create original artworks for interiors—paintings that bring the feeling of spring and summer, full of light, movement, and color.
