About the Artist

Shunji Okazaki

Brazil

Originally from São Bernardo do Campo, Shunji Okazaki is a grandson of Japanese immigrants and currently resides and works there. His creative journey began as an assistant to the renowned photographer and director, Tripolli, before he established his own graphic design studio, Movila Design, from 2010 to 2019.

Collaborating with prestigious brands like FOX, CNN, Disney, and General Mills, Shunji Okazaki contributed to various campaigns, including those for major events such as the Olympics and the World Cup.

Since 2019, Shunji Okazaki has focused his talents on visual arts, with a particular emphasis on exploring themes of identity and ancestral research. His work is a reflection of his Japanese heritage, evident in the deliberate choices he makes throughout his creative process. Additionally, he is a co-founder of cheiovazio, a cultural catalyst and coworking space dedicated to nurturing artistic expression.
