ABOUT THE ARTWORK
An atmospheric, semi-abstract painting of Waterton Park Lake in the North of England. The soft reflections on the surface of the water as the sun rose, combined with the far reaching views, inspired this scenic English landscape painting. This piece is painted on a gesso primed mounted wood board, as this hard surface allows for the scraping and subtle blending of multiple translucent layers of oil paint, creating the impression of deep water and mystery. The edges of this artwork are painted white (please see additional photograph), so it can be displayed unframed or framed. The painting is signed and dated on the back and is ready to hang. It will be shipped with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. This artwork will be carefully wrapped and shipped within 5 working days. Lizzie Butler is an expressive, semi abstract artist, who works in a contemporary style in oil. Her strong spatial awareness and a passion for working en plein air, inform her practice and lead to paintings that recreate the intangible atmosphere found in landscapes and the peaceful silence of nature.
