ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I'm interested in the fractal characteristics of natural forms. The river channels and tributaries spreading out across a delta are formed to expedite the flow of nutrients, in this case, water. The web-like nature of the delta, flipped upside down, resembles a tree, with its branches spreading in a form that helps it distribute fluids to and from the branches. This works in a similar fashion to how blood is distributed through the vessels, veins, and capillaries within our bodies, branching out like a delta to provide fluids to our limbs and organs.
