ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is about the representation and perception of an object, that exists between reality and abstraction. An iceberg is an object that we recognize, but it has no defined form. Our eyes recognize it just because of the colors and how the organic forms come together. The figurative/realistic representation taught us, that this scene should be real, but it is an abstract scene. We have just learned to try to catalog the images that we see, without the benefit of the doubt.
