Welcomed Escape Painting

Welcomed Escape is an abstract landscape created while I was at a 7 day artist retreat at the beautiful Spring Hill Farms near Scranton, PA. Although not intending to paint landscapes, the nature of the place affected me so that the work done there lean towards a landscape feel. The serene surroundings are reflected in the work. This painting is sold unstretched for ease of shipping due to it's large size. Most framers will be able to stretch the canvas onto wood bars. The size noted, 36" x 54", is after stretching. The photo is cropped to the finished size, but the entire painted surface is 43" x 60" so the paint will continue around the edges after stretching.
