I had a long canvas that felt like it needed a narrative, and I started painting with an old black-and-white photograph of my aunts and uncles. It quickly became clear that there was a bizarre aspect to the painting, and I built on that theme further. Soon a baby hung by the moon, a gian rabbit appeared, and they were all in a field of flowers in the clouds. I hope this painting brings joy to the viewers and helps them remember the wonderful (and maybe strange) dreams of their childhood.

About The Artwork

It quickly became clear that there was a bizarre aspect to the painting, and I built on that theme further. Soon a baby hung by the moon, a gian rabbit appeared, and they were all in a field of flowers in the clouds.
