In this artwork, the dawn emerges as a metaphor for the intersection of mystery, magic, and reality. As the first light of day breaks through the veil of night, it illuminates a world filled with enchantment and wonder. The young girl at the center of the scene represents innocence and curiosity, her presence bridging the realms of imagination and truth. Surrounded by mythical creatures like the unicorn and other fantastical beings, the girl embodies the dreamer's spirit, embracing the mysteries of the unknown with open arms. Meanwhile, the seeds of dandelion, floating on the dawn's breeze, symbolize the delicate balance between dreams and reality, each seed carrying the potential for both magic and grounded truth. At the dawn, where the boundaries between day and night blur, viewers are invited to contemplate the interplay of mystery and reality in their own lives. It is a time of transition and transformation, where the impossible becomes possible and the mundane is infused with magic. In this artwork, the dawn serves as a reminder of the beauty and complexity of existence, inviting us to explore the mysteries that lie beyond the surface of our everyday lives.

I am a London-based visual artist who is deeply inspired by the Baroque epoch and its parallels with the contemporary moment. As a child born during the Chernobyl Disaster, I have always been fascinated by the quest for immortality through science and art, and the vulnerability and strength of the body. My background in Baroque painting and theatre design has heavily influenced my contemporary art practices, allowing me to create bold and punkish works that are not afraid to tackle contemporary issues. My aim is to make painting popular again, just like it was in the Baroque times, creating works that leave a lasting impression and provide catharsis. Drawing inspiration from fashion icons like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, I seek to push the boundaries of painting and make it a relevant and contemporary art form. I am an active participant in the London art scene, with my most recent exhibition being a solo show at Hampstead Art School in April 2023. I am constantly seeking to challenge myself and push the boundaries of what is possible with painting, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.
