Fractals of Consciousness Original abstract painting by Alina O'Dwyer. Everywhere we look, we see patterns, even when we do not our mind and thoughts attempt to identify a pattern. Because of the limited ability of human consciousness, we are often blinded to the order of this universe and the fractal nature of all before us. Indeed, we are only now (re) discovering through science and mathematics, knowledge which we deem to be revolutionary or new. But the reality is that this knowledge was long held by the Egyptian hermeticists. Today we refer to chaos theory, it’s the new way of looking at nature. How did we, as a human race, lose sight of this knowledge of the Egyptians, only to declare it as a new discover in the 21st century? The ancient wisdom dictated that macro equals micro, the prime example being the human consciousness and the tree. Fractals are in everything, nature, consciousness, information. When our limited human mind fails to put order to it, we categorise it as chaotic. They are ever present in every aspect, to the point that without fractal geometry, the human brain would find it impossible to function. It is humbling to accept that we do not yet find order in everything we see. The painting is 50 by 40 cm All my paintings are finished with a good layer of semi-gloss varnish for bright colours and clear permanent protection for years. Each painting is one of a kind.
