I painted "White Shambala in 2020, in the midst of a pandemic. We were locked in our houses, and I was looking for a book to read. I wanted something simple, exciting... an imaginary journey.. I remember that I didn't like anything, I think we were too bored with what was happening in the world. But then I pull a book. Shambala, a thin book, I think somewhere around 50 pages. And this is where the magic happens, looking at the cover, the Shambala symbol. A flash appears to me, as fast as it is clear in the details: the mountains, the whiteness stretched by the snow, immensity, the monasteries. When there is that channel inspiration, a moment of stoppage, then emotion, you know that information comes from somewhere above you. ''White Shambala'' is my first painting of a particular complexity. Under the paint there is a network of calculations, I applied sacred geometry, the golden number 1,618. The symbol is made of 22k gold leaf in two layers.

Romania
I'm a contemporary Romanian artist, creative and passionate of symbols and stories. I paint from my home studio in Bucharest, and also I'm teaching children the basics of visual art: shape, proportion, volume, shadow and light. I graduate University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca. Painting and practicing yoga for several years, I tried to find a simple way to associate symbols found in mythology and folklore for a visual that is easy to decipher for the modern human. I always find support in decoding and bringing to life the symbols by using ''The Dictionary of Symbols'' by Alain Gheerbrant and Jean Chevalier. This book is always present in my art studio. The compositions revel symbols and stories based on dreams, signs of life, and memories, transferred on canvas in a decorative way with great attention to details.
