My artistic practice originates in a rupture: a physical limitation that interrupts the continuity between body and mind, displacing experience into an unfamiliar territory. What initially appears as loss—the inability of the body to sustain its former intensity—gradually becomes an opening. The energy once anchored in the physical is reconfigured as thought, attention, and perception. From this point, art does not emerge as a choice but as a necessity: a space in which to inhabit and think through that fracture. Painting becomes a site of condensation where time, matter, and experience intertwine. It does not represent; it articulates. It constructs fields in which the visible and the invisible coexist, where form does not assert but sustains tension. Within this process, time ceases to be linear and unfolds instead as duration and waiting; space ceases to be a container and becomes relational; matter ceases to be a support and becomes thought. The work thus takes shape as an open system in constant transformation, where uncertainty is not a lack but a potential.Physical limitation, rather than closing down possibilities, reveals them. It marks the boundaries of the body while activating an intuition of a mental expansiveness that largely remains unexplored. In this threshold, artistic practice operates as a device of attention and displacement: a way of interrogating the structures—visible and invisible—that shape our experience, from the most intimate to the systemic. Power, in this context, is no longer understood as control, but as the capacity to sustain, to listen, and to remain within what is unresolved. The work does not seek to close meaning, but to open it: to make perceptible that, even within limitation, there persists a field of possibility—mental, perceptual, and vital—that exceeds what we believe we know. Artist and lecturer with more than 20 years of experience at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona, specialized in pictorial processes, material research, project methodology, and mentoring young artists. With an established artistic career at an international level, I have exhibited in Germany, France, the Netherlands, South Korea, Madrid, Panama, Catalonia, England, and the United States.
