ABOUT THE ARTWORK

No that's not a typo - Hashiguchi Goyo worked in late Meiji period Japan, applying the traditional Ukiyo-e to modernism. I think he's pretty great but he's not very well known, perhaps because he died in his prime, age 41. This is my take on his beautiful "Woman Washing Her Hair" This is an original painting on acid-free 140 pound archival watercolor paper. THIS PAINTING WILL SHIP ROLLED IN A SECURE MAILING TUBE.
