About The Artwork
I'm intrigued by contrasts and architecture and shopfronts of London that tell a story; the spaces that we inhabit and the places we connect with. This painting is inspired by the consideration of space between dreams and reality. What we feel from what surrounds us and what ignites our curiosity and desire for something we haven't yet found. The window glass acting as an invisible physical and metaphorical presence separating the two worlds of dreams and reality. The glass reflecting/deflecting the outside vibrant cacophony of reality shown in the reverberating colours and patterns of city architecture and the scene presented behind the protective element of the glass; a calm, radiant quietness.
