Ivânia Ponte is a Portuguese contemporary painter, artist and graphic designer based in Germany, Every piece of art created by this German artist with Portuguese roots speaks for itself and is unique with regard to motives and colours. Ponte confuses the artistic tradition of accuracy with a cryptical fragmentation that reminds the observer of daydreams. She portrays women in such a tangibility which dissipates posthumously in the creation process and opposes the promise of female beauty. Her works are owned by private collectors , in various cities of Germany, Portugal, France, Spain and the United States.
