Born from my fascination with Eastern philosophy and the years I spent exhibiting in Taiwan, this large impasto oil painting reimagines the Yin-Yang through the dance of two koi circling a radiant red sphere. Painted in layers of ultramarine, yellow, orange, and green, the texture catches light and ...

For me, painting is a way to make sense of life. Canvas and paints help me pause, feel the moment, and express what cannot be said in words. My paintings are personal experiences. Whether I am traveling, walking in nature, or spending time in museums, everything I see and feel settles inside me and sooner or later turns into a painting. Sometimes my works reflect mixed memories, where different places and impressions are intertwined. For example, the series of paintings “Travels in Provence” was born after a trip to Vaucluse, where endless lavender fields, cypress trees, houses with orange roofs, and mountain rivers and lakes intertwined in my memory with impressions from visiting the Van Gogh Museum. In my paintings, I try to convey not a specific landscape, but a state of mind—the energy and light that remain after an encounter with the world. I was born in Mirgorod (Ukraine) in 1968 and have been living in Lloret de Mar, Spain, since 2000. I came to painting after a serious accident, after which I spent five days in a coma. This experience changed a lot in me and became the beginning of my journey in art. I did not receive any academic education—I taught myself everything by observing, trying, and experimenting with materials. My paintings often combine expression and calmness, emotional landscapes and memories, reality and the inner world. In 2016, I founded Art Studio Gallery together with Spanish artist Isidro Cistare, and in 2019, I created my own space — Vitality Art Gallery in Lloret de Mar, Spain. I have held solo exhibitions in Spain, France, Andorra, and Japan, and have participated in international group exhibitions and art fairs in Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, and the UAE. I have been a finalist at Art Revolution Taipei three times. My works are in museum collections in South Korea and Russia, in the municipal collection of Marseille, as well as in numerous private collections in Europe, the USA, and Asia.
