This striking and surrealist painting, part of Natasha Lelenco's thought-provoking series "You Are the One," features a central portrait of a figure with a vivid green face and blue braided hair, set against a bold red background. The figure’s intense eyes and red lips add unique elements of color and depth, enhancing the overall impact of the piece. Surrounding the figure are whimsical decorative elements, including blue flowers and abstract shapes that humorously resemble small faces or smileys, contributing to a dynamic and engaging composition. Crafted with acrylic on canvas, this artwork employs flat, saturated colors in a naïve style, intentionally creating a sense of simplicity and vibrancy. The series "You Are the One" offers a reflection on the human figure, the anthropomorphic, the supposedly real, and the virtual, delving into the tendency to endow artificial intelligence with human imagery. The use of fluorescent colors in the original piece may result in slightly less vivid reproductions in photographs. This unique painting can stand alone or be combined with other pieces from the same series to form larger installations, offering great flexibility in display. Special discounts are available for purchasing multiple pieces from the "You Are the One" series. Natasha Lelenco also accepts custom commissions. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Chisinau, 1982. Moldovan artist based in Spain. My approach is figurative and revolves around mainly human themes: metanarratives, death, value, subjectivity, family, among others. I like to approach them from a playful plastic game of repetitions, juxtapositions of colors, deformations in favor of psychological realism, and arbitrary use of elements and resources that I have in my studio. One of the constants in my work is the creation of panels, which, through the repetitive use of representations make a narrative. The visual element of repetition, particularly in the form of portraits, is a graphic obsession for me that captures a world where seriality is a defining feature. These pieces address themes such as death, tempus fugit, obsolescence, using a vibrant color palette inspired by folk art, advertising and Kitsch. The final image is a colorful and humorous antithesis.
