Harue Tamaki Introduction 　I started professional painting when I was 23 years old. I had not graduated from any academy of arts. At that time I happened to meet Kokichi Umezaki, who was the owner of the Gallery Cherubim at Ginza. He has been my art master for 30 years and up to this date. I have repeated trial and error about expressing an abstract art since then. For me, creating my work of art is not to draw concrete objects but to draw an expression of myself. Especially, collage is the most suitable expression for me. I have been pursuing my own truth, goodness, and beauty, which are born out through purely repeating the techniques of cutting and pasting many materials, pasting and drawing, burning some materials, and peeling them off. I treasure Lumière, which means "various kinds of color of light" in French and I think highly of its appearance on my canvas. My favorite color is red, which color itself is my theme. I always look for new red color, which is created through pilling up of various colors of light conducted by the color red.
