This painting is one in a series of paintings showing flowers. However, these are not beautiful flowers in the classic sense of the word. These are flowers with signs of passing away, on the verge of wilting. I am delighted with the dramatic structure that remains after the firm, alluring form of the flower. As if with the remnants of her existence she was trying to scream out that it is still there, that it is not over yet. It is a frozen fraction of a second of a dramatic dance. Each flower is painted separately, not in a bouquet. Each painting in this series is an individual portrait of a single plant. No background context. I place the flowers in a dark brown space, this way I want to emphasize the emptiness and loneliness that accompanies every being when they leave. However, contrary to appearances, I do not want to upset the viewer with these images. I hope that the recipient will also see hope in them and think that every moment of life has its own beauty and is worth paying attention to

Painting is my passion from an early age. Creative freedom is very important to me in this passion. I do not paint to order. I paint when I feel the need to express myself on a topic. Usually, I do not limit my statement to one painting, I paint in series. The inspirations are very different. One of such series tells about travels. Through the landscapes from the car window, I tried to convey the atmosphere of the trance of a traveling man. I devoted another to the ballet "The Rite of Spring" by Igor Stravinsky, choreographed by Pina Bausch. The figure of the German choreographer and dancer, as well as her extraordinary art, has been moving me for many years. Her approach to ballet, the human body and emotions captivates me, so I tried to take up this topic and I will definitely come back to it. I am currently working on a series of flowers. I hope that the recipient will also see hope in them and think that every moment of life has its own beauty and is worth paying attention to. The role of a painter is to capture a fleeting moment in a long process of creative work. It is often tedious work, full of stumbles and disappointments, but also delights. However, it is always about the moment. Something that is no longer there. These flowers are also gone. They are withered and dry long ago. They left only ash. These images are a kind of memory capsules for worlds that no longer exist, and at the same time exist as long as we remember about them. Another area of my artistic activity is digital painting. In this technique, I use a graphic tablet to paint portraits. These are mainly portraits of people close to me; my son, husband, self-portraits.
