Inspired by a peaceful character of sheep, known for their obedient and calm demeanor, I wanted to break free from the usual muted tones associated with them. The choice to focus on just one sheep highlights its individuality, standing both within and apart from the chaos of the world around it. The title plays on this duality—the obedient nature of the sheep, contrasted with the rebellious energy of the full palette I used. The bold, swirling colors reflect the landscape’s untamed spirit, while the sheep remains still, a symbol of steadfastness amid the vibrant disorder. This contrast between the subject and the colors explores the relationship between simplicity and complexity, serenity and spontaneity.
