About The Artwork

Cool Steve McQueen is the epitome of COOL, he was a man's man and every womans thought of cool (thats not me speaking, its widely quoted.). At one time he was given 1st choice of every script going around Hollywood. He commanded vast amounts as the No1 box office star. He was every advertiser dream for selling everything you can think of. In all of my trilogies I have tried to capture their own unique qualities under the title of Crazy, Sexy.Cool. Terence Steven "Steve" McQueen (March 24, 1930 November 7, 1980) was an American actor.[1] Called "The King of Cool",[2][3] his "anti-hero" persona, developed at the height of the Vietnam War-era counterculture, made him a top box-office draw of the 1960s and 1970s.[4] McQueen received an Academy Award nomination for his role in The Sand Pebbles. His other popular films include The Thomas Crown Affair, Bullitt, The Getaway, and Papillion, as well as the all-star ensemble films The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, and The Towering Inferno. In 1974, he became the highest-paid movie star in the world, although he did not act in films again for four years.[5] McQueen was combative with directors and producers, but his popularity placed him in high demand and enabled him to command large salaries.[6] All of these paintings are for sale, I would like to sell them as trilogy as there belong together and each one rolls into each other. But there are strong enough to stand alone. All are painted on high quality, deep box canvas with Acrylic and encased in resin to complete the magic and give a deep, glossy finish to each painting. Thank you for looking, Edwin

Edwin Barrington Lue-Shing Painter Born England 1962 Resides and works in London. Email: Edwin_lue_shing@hotmail.com Artist Statement: Reflections of the 21st century "I aim to capture a frozen moment beyond the frame and to Use colour to unlock the sub-conscious of the character. The colour I use to express Emotional issues and problems of the character, I also try to acquire the spiritual And personal expression for each portrait I do. " Minority females are a major theme of my paintings. I am especially fond of the term "Less is more": a means through which I believe can thoroughly and delicately Express my feelings. About my subject. I stress careful depiction of my characters' Eyes and form, because I feel that eyes and the body vividly and truly reflect a Human being's soul. Characters in my work are often quiet and melancholy, a feeling Projected by the purples or red, pink backgrounds. I try to pass my feelings of the Subject through the tones of colour. I try to take out all detail and leave behind what I Believe is the essential soul of what makes that person who there are. I invite you to take a look and I would love to hear your views, just go to the feedback Below and leave your comments, thank you for viewing. Edwin
