Artem Kolesnikov was born in 1977 in Novomoskovsk, Ukraine, From an early age he showed an interest in drawing. From a young age, he practiced drawing and strived to improve his skills. Striving for professionalism, Artem graduated from professional artist courses, specializing in academic drawing and painting. Over time, he discovered a passion for depicting raging waves, rocks and ships on canvas and began to master the theme of seascapes. . In 2016, Artem Kolesnikov together with his family decided to leave Ukraine and move to Spain, where he continued to engage in artistic creativity. Marine painting became his characteristic style, which attracts the attention of viewers with its energy and drama. Unfortunately, because of the war in Ukraine, many of the paintings already painted in previous years could not be saved, but not despairing he took again in his hands brushes that would continue to create from a new leaf. His life is a continuation of creating beauty and giving! He has established himself as a marine painter, dedicated to depicting the turbulent behavior of the ocean, waves and the historic ships of past times. Inspired by the history of navigation and the romance of the sea, I strive to convey the power and unpredictability of the ocean by creating emotionally intense works of art. My paintings convey the atmosphere of suspense and adventure that accompanied the maritime expeditions of bygone times.
