That’s why when I speak my mind, I appear heartless and when I do what’s in my heart I seem thoughtless.” Clarissa Pinkola Estes My creations are instinctive, it's not planned or overthought. My brushes listen to the melody of my body, my fingers listen to the rhythm of my heart. When starting a new painting, I rarely imagine what it's going to be depicted on it: the first ink I stroke on the blank canvas follows the second and on it goes until I get an image. I then start with the details that pours into my brain creating the wholeness I felt when I started - not opposite. Most of my works have a women archetype as a symbol of feelings and life itself. I refuse to give up on childish elements in my works as I believe we all have to keep the inner child to be able to see and celebrate the small things and details, we often stop to notice as an adults. I believe there’re so many connections in your chaotic worlds, that hides in the daylight, but can be found in the depths of our souls. My works consists many of connections and structures, that sometimes can be seen just in the dark, with some black light in it. You'll see a different world in the solitude of the darkness that you missed in the noisy daylight. All my feelings lay down on the canvas in a thoughtless, though structured way, but how much of it will be taken - depends on the viewer. Everything possible to be seen is an image of truth. Everyone can find their own story and no story is less, neither more truth than mine, but it’s different, as all interpretations are wrong somehow. And yet - our stories now will be connected as it goes through your point of view and my creation. Everything we see and everyone we meet is a part of our life’s. I have too much of the feelings to keep it all for myself and I want to share it. So here’s a little fact for You - once you read the text or see my paintings - I become part of your world as You become part of mine. Something coming from the heart, gets into your brains with a hope it would also touch someone's feelings and give them a piece of mind that they would remember. With love Evelina Simanskaite
