About the Artist

Eva-Maria Stiepermann

Germany

Eva- Maria Stiepermann lives and works in Muelheim an der Ruhr. She studied graphic design, illustration and painting in Duesseldorf with Professor Guenter Brinkhaus and Professor Rudi Assmann. She locked her art study with the diploma and works since then as graphic designer and a free artist. Her works are seen in companies, galleries, art actions and churches at home and abroad.

Already since her childhood the artistic work began, without instruction or request from the outside. There fantasy-rich pictures with unusual forms and colors developed. A recurring motive was among other things a church. Also in the youth time Eva-M. Stiepermann outlined or painted landscapes or humans during her travels or in certain situations. During her study she intensified her work and began with public exhibitions.

As an artist she goes into the dialogue with the own thoughts and moves these then into the dialogue with the pictures. Thus she places questions and is in the search for answers! At the beginning of her work she often does not know the direct way. An idea develops in the head - the beginnings are held. A certain time additional observations as well as objects, elements and colors are collected and then added, until solutions are formed, answers to find and thus complete pictures develop. The classical kind of drawing and of painting of seeing the things realistically is must, if it concerns the exercise.

But the challenge, somewhat abstractly, to see with own eyes is more exciting for her. In the pictures are deeply felt emotions and situations, humor, in addition, hidden problems or making realize wrong aspects and points of view. The conscious demarcation of all usual one, monotony, authorities and normality is important to her as an artist. The urge after movement, experiencing and new one shows up in her works. Their individuality - not an outward, but an internal and lived individuality makes the pictures unusual and unchangeable.

Therefore she can be assigned not to a special style, does not want not conventionally in each case a technology to use or without exception a topic compile. Experiments, free creativity, thereby new find and the viewer thereby surprise, are bases of her art. Some works, which are painted with such starting points, provoke, stimulate for thinking. The viewer thereby completely different perspectives are demonstrated, the area to the dialogue to permit.
