This one took its time. That happens sometimes, but I do enjoy the working and waiting phase, until I can say it is finally finished. I am a slow painter anyway. The outcome of this painting has a very soft, subtle and calm appearance, which I hope you may enjoy. Many of my artworks do not have a title giving away too much ahead of a preinterpretation. Moreover, everyone is invited to observe my art and see or feel whatever comes to their mind. heavy handmade paper - therfore the slightly ripped appearance

Born in Toronto, Canada and raised in a northern city of Germany Ingrid Rosine Floerke once had the encounter with a person who defined her personality as “living an ordinary life in a non-ordinary way”. By studying Social and Cultural Geography this educational step helped her gain an open-minded view of the world, while alongside developing a deep interest for the various aspects of art and culture. But she always saw herself more on the outside of the artistic world and felt quite content recognizing a talent for coaching and managing arts and artists, rather than taking up arts herself. More or less by chance Ingrid Rosine Floerke one day received the opportunity to join an art class. Experimenting alongside of a great mentor her own artistic creativity found its way to the surface. Feeling the urge to continue and evolve this form of expression she began working tirelessly on finding a personal rhythm and significance to express her art. Surprisingly, in a similar way to how her creativity reached out from the depth of her own personality her artworks depict the physical act of working with a multilayered perspective. The formation of each painting is an intensive intellectual, as well as physical experience. The process itself is driven by coincidence. All thoughts are allowed to wander and may or may not find themselves reflected on the canvas. In a repetitive procedure the different layers of color or other material continuously overlap each other, while the core of the single deliberate intention is always to work out hints of the deepest level through the various coatings and to become visible again, while coinciding with the entire composition. Despite the fact that Ingrid Rosine Floerke may be considered as a self-taught “late bloomer” the outcome of her artistic work is emerging with a young and fresh attitude. Striving upward in her performance she is influenced in her work by role models non less than Hans Arp, Max Ernst and Gerhard Richter. Hoping to find a likeminded audience at she is taking the bold step to present results of her artistic oeuvre.
