Liberated after 4 decades in print advertising for Major Motion Pictures, producing posters, lobby displays and large outdoor public displays, for the last two decades, I've been making paintings based on the leftovers from those kinds of presentations. Remnants of printed paper scraps become the working material for painted and collaged compositions, abstractions and occasionally landscapes. NFS alludes to transforming materials that no longer serve their intended purpose — that of selling the consumer a ticket, a product or an experience.
