I am a Chicago artist. My canon includes architectural drawings, the graphic art of Willie Elder, David Mazzuchelli, and Don Martin. I take a left turn from there into modernists, and post-modernists such as Leger, Demuth, Sheele. Some have told me these styles run at cross-purposes, but this is the Perceptron I have built. I find that one of my greatest joys is capturing my city and life as I see it-- beautiful, strong, scratchy, tiresome, filthy. For me, the most interesting thing is the response. Not as a provocateur, but to hear someone's response to my work.
