"The icelandic diary" is a polyptych. Four paintings make up a landscape that symbolize the pages of a travel journal. A trip to iceland made by the author in winter 2018 and which represents an important stage in his life.

He was born in Rome in 1980. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he graduated in Stage Design. His artistic research looks into the matter potential and limits and by means of layers of oil-based painting, inert and synthetic materials, it translates the perceived reality into an "inner universe" rich in landscapes and stories. The light and color vibrations featuring Fabio Mariani's palette reveal his sense of spirituality and freedom, and turn into a mirror for the soul to the viewer. A multi-award winning artist, he exhibited his artworks in several museums and galleries in Italy and abroad. His works can be found in private and public collections. Fabio Mariani lives and performs in Rome, where he also works in the field of stage design and engraving.
