One of the forms of manifestation of abstract painting is the call, not without a certain amount of prejudice, lyrical abstractionism, which was developed in Brazil by painters of Japanese origin, such as Tomie Ohtake and Manabu Mabe. This style of abstraction is a kind of calligraphy of color, that is, color, the mass of ink is applied with a gesture and a feeling, which incorporate the bodily and spiritual movement developed over the years in the formation of a good calligrapher. Gesture and color should be direct and accurate. However, unlike the calligraphy, there is no linguistic meaning but pictorial meaning. It is the very being of the painter that is at stake, which means that it is impossible to disassociate artist and work, the spiritual elevation of the former generates a dense and meaningful work, capable of raising the spirit of observer. The painting does not describe situations experienced or dreamed, does not comment or recreate the reality to his/our back, does not advance for social or political analysis, is neither confessional nor autobiographical. there is only the painting. And, first, the form, the precise form while strict and smooth. Then there is the precise gesture that sets the color in motion. Abstract painting is the non-figurative, non-objective relation between these elements: color, form and composition. Form is structure, color is movement and composition, cosmos, universe, world built by an artist. The meanings must be purely perceptive, without going through the meaningful valuation of consciousness, but the consciousness of what is beyond the rational. It is perceptual sensitivity, an aesthesis, which is subjective in the foreground and objective in the background, but a pure objectivity of each of the elements. In technical terms, this painting was done with oil paint and acrylic paint on canvas mounted on wood; were used brush, spatula and fingers. The chromatic key presents, as a main relation, a small displacement of the complementary colors, going from the red/green to magenta/turquoise and, concomitantly, orange/turquoise. It is these chromatic relationships that are responsible for the dynamism of paintings. The work started in 2011 was only completed in January 2018.
