I did this photograph in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The modern building, with a curved and sloping façade, is the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói, designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. From this place, you have a breathtaking view of Rio de Janeiro, especially the Sugarloaf Mountain. Observing the similarity between the slope of the museum's façade and the Sugarloaf Mountain, I was motivated to take this photograph, which contrasts a construction with something natural. I hope you guys enjoyed it.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
