The print has an additional white paper border (5 cm wide) signed and numbered. Including a certificate of authenticity, and a separate signed label to stick on the back when mounted. This is an image of my aerial photo-series of the CARRARA MARBLE MINES. Above the city of Carrara in the Apuan Alps in Italy there are the Carrara Marble Mines where the creamy white stone is extracted. The exceptional quality of this marble is know since roman times, when the roman empire already used it for the construction of their most prestigious monuments and sculpting.
The noble marble from Carrara was valued by various artists and masters including Michelangelo, Da Vinci,  Bernini and Rodin ... 
Since 2010, Bernhard Lang has captured the earth's surface in his photo series "Aerial Views". To take these pictures from the heavens, Lang takes off in helicopters and small aircrafts.
The Aerial Views project received numerous awards, such as 1st place at Sony World Photography 2015, 1st place International Photography Awards (ipa) 2015
