NON-MANIPULATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY. From collaborative project by Katia Platonova and Andrey Kazakov. Sessions were conducted on the coast of Gulf of Finland. Material of construction: gauze, plaster. Diameter of the objects: 0,4-1 meters. I am a self-taught photographer based in St. Petersburg, Russia. I graduated as an economist, but later took design, art history, contemporary photography courses at Saint Petersburg State Hermitage Museum, at FotoDepartament, and some others, and finally photography turned out to be a full-time occupation. / Introversion, silence and hovering over the moment are the key elements of my photography. I feel a special kinship to a “hidden” motive, when someone takes more observant look in an effort to unveil the unseen.
