ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It's impossible to go to Venice and not photograph the Bridge of Sighs. When I arrived at this place, I was looking at the lines of the two buildings that are interconnected by the bridge and I saw that the horizontality creates a very interesting perspective. So I decided to take advantage of that and positioned myself exactly on the central axis of the channel, with the camera's focus set to the bridge. Meanwhile, a gondola appeared in the left corner, at which point I took the opportunity to photograph. And here I present to you the result of my work, hoping that it will arouse the attention of all those who are passionate about this incredible city, which is Venice.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
