Armano Jericevic is a Croatian multidisciplinary artist working across painting, photography, writing and film. His work emerges from a continuous dialogue between personal experience, cultural memory and philosophical reflection. Rather than illustrating concepts, he allows images to appear through process, intuition and contemplation. The works are not prepared through sketches or predefined narratives, but develop directly in the act itself. Painting and photography become fields of appearance — spaces where questions of presence, identity, memory and human coexistence can unfold. Each gesture, brushstroke or image carries traces of an inner landscape while remaining open to the viewer’s own experience. The work is completed not by explanation, but by encounter. Born in Zagreb in 1962, Armano Jericevic originally studied film direction before leaving his conventional professional path to dedicate himself fully to artistic practice and a life closer to nature and reflection. Since 2019 he has been living and working in Brittany, France, where together with his family he is developing a studio and contemplative space for creation, exchange and cultural dialogue. His practice remains independent of artistic trends and market expectations, moving instead through philosophy, observation and lived experience. If a work resonates with you, reflections and conversations are always welcome. More works, archives and notes from the studio can be found at armano.space
