This photograph was taken from a privately chartered aircraft over a remote mining site in Western Australia. Taken as part of a larger collection of images concentrating on abstract aerial landscapes. Each image is unique which reveals a bird's eye view of the Earth rarely seen by even the most intrepid traveller. The vivacity of the colours and the at times totally symmetrical lines encourage the observer to question what it is they are witnessing - it provokes a feeling of brevity in a world we think we know. The collection invokes a different kind of visual literacy in the viewer and reminds us just how beautiful this planet we call home truly is. The images are displayed precisely as they were shot and the vibrant, at times inexplicable colours were as seen from the air.
