ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Cais das Colunas, in Lisbon, Portugal, is a pier located in the historic center of the city. When I saw these people, against the sunlight, with their shadows cast on the floor, I thought it was a good time to photograph. So I positioned myself right on the axis between the columns, adjusted the focus and the result was what I present to you. A great souvenir of this place, for Lisbon lovers.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
