About the Artist

Giulia Pesarin

Italy

I am an Italian photographer based in Verona. I work with analogue and digital photography, and my research moves between the body and the landscape.

I often collaborate with dancers and performance artists. Their movement becomes a way to read a place, with its light and its materials. My images start from personal experience and from the landscapes I come from.

I trained in contemporary art and cultural heritage at the University of Verona and in photography at IUAV University of Venice. I have studied with photographers including Guido Guidi, Armin Linke and Bas Princen. My work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Italy, France and Sweden.

Alongside my artistic practice, I lead photography workshops for young students. My latest series, Limen, was made on the coast with a contemporary dance performer.
