About The Artwork
I went to small grocery store in the Lake District, in a small village of Poland and I found “it” – the Dolce Vita. It was just laying there between tomatoes and cucambers…staring at me, it looked so real and to my surprise, it had a price! The shop assistant couldn’t give me any reasonable answer and smiled instead. This surreal and how witty incident prompted me to create a visual story. As a result, I have created a series of photographs, on which I am experiencing the village life through the eyes of Dolce Vita. Dolce Vita was exhibited in London during Photomonth festival, 2010. The initial name of the project was ‘Tit’s Villages Adventures’. This project was conceived by chance and is based on true story. Although most of images were staged, none of them was photoshoped. Photographs are windows to another world. My aim is to entertain. Available in limited edition of 15, C-type or Giclee prints signed and numbered by artist. My on-going personal work mixes fashion, architecture and fine art conventions, producing digital images representing surreal worlds. Commercially I continue to work as a commissioned photographer for private clients, business establishments and independent fashion labels. Currently I also produce wide range of professional and academic courses in photography across different establishments. Among are: Fashion Photography Access course for fashion design students at Morley College and Fashion Photography workshops at City Literary Institute in London. I do also facilitate Street Photography and Night Photography courses at Bishopsgate Institute, also London. “Photography to me is like a return ticket to a place or to a person.
