I am a writer, labor journalist and photographer based in New York City. I incorporate multiple art forms, from photography to fiction and journalism to inform my work. Fiction is published in West Trade Review, Eunoia Review, Easy Street, Bop Dead City, The Ampersand Review, Paraphilia, The Airgonaut, Sensitive Skin, Reservoir, The Avenue and others. I fall in love with the impossible, and catch the improbable. Photography and writing are a means to capture those expressions so often missed in an urban walkabout. I believe in the constant moment, where usually a simple expression or gesture speaks with a clear voice in a universal language. I realized early on that the mind, the eye, and the camera all serve as an parts of an invisible mirror. The city provides a canvas, and the subjects are there to be taken as reflections which future viewers may find within these images inspiration and as signs of hope in the postmodern world. People in the morning, still half-asleep and hopeful for the day. The magic that is hidden in the seeming mundane in the urban dynamic, often missed by passers-by. The city, the architecture and its relationship to the human element. Above all, I am here to tell a story through my work.
