ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I took this photograph during a walk through an Atlantic Forest reserve in Campos do Jordão, Brazil. I chose to photograph this fern because of the healthy appearance of its leaves and the beauty of them. This is a very common plant species in Brazilian forests and here is my record, in detail, of the design of its leaves, with all the perfection that only nature is capable of providing.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
