Muhammad Amdad Hossain(B-1999) is a renowned visual artist and Photographer from Chittagong, Bangladesh, applauded for his ability to capture the momentary glimpses of life through the lens of his camera. Working mainly in documentary photography, Amdad's body of work goes beyond mere visual storytelling by highlighting the resilience, strength, and emotional depth of people facing adversity, most notably in the aftermath of floods, pollution, and poverty. His photography puts the focus on documenting the impacts of natural disasters, especially on the catastrophic floods, pollution, and displacement hitting the vulnerable communities of Bangladesh. His work, however, further underlines human resilience and strength—how people endure in the face of adversity.
