1. Glenda In Red (1978) Limited edition of 25 prints, signed and numbered. $1600 Image size: 20.37 x 17. 163 Print size: 20 x 24 in This photo was shot with Ektachrome 2 1/4 film rated at 8000 ISO. Developed in Rodinol black and white developer, then redeveloped in the C-22 color negative process. The image has been reversed from a positive to a negative. This process worked best in subdued light and produces an overall soft grain. By using the red material , blown off camera by a fan, I wanted to create a sense of mystery of who the model was by not showing her face. I wanted to create an impressionist painting style with the soft afternoon light in my studio. Printed on Ilford Gold Fiber Silk paper 310 gram, 100 % cotton rag.

I grew up with photography as my father worked as a reporter/photographer in the late 1940s to the early 1950s, before he became involved in the aerospace industry. Through him I became fascinated with the magic of photography. I began to take photo classes in college and later attended Art Center College of Design, graduating in 1976. I had a small studio on Sunset Blvd through the late 1980s then did a trip to Thailand and decided to move there in 1990. Over the years I have worked for Habitat for Humanity, World Vision, and done assignments for The United Nations, Newsweek, Gamma Liaison, Getty Images. Animal Planet, Homeless International and other organizations in Asia.
