Gloucester Sunset - Limited Edition of 999 Photograph

Gloucester Bay, Massachusetts, USA .…………………………….......………… ……All sunsets are beautiful and I always photograph them when possible. Occasionally we get a paintbrush cloudscape to go with it. These tend to be the most artistic looking sunsets in my estimation. In this scene we are standing at the end of a very long breakwater jutting out into the bay. I was photographing the Eastern Point Lighthouse with the usual single mindedness when it dawned on me that I should turn around and see what kind of a sunset we have. I never know with certainty at the moment of capture if others will like what I am seeing, I only know if I like it and I did, partly because of the cloudscape and partly because of the shear minimalism of the composition. As it turns out this image became one of my best liked scenes. After decades of doing this work I can claim that in most cases if I like a subject well enough to spend effort capturing it fully, generally others will as well ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ …… I am citing the creation date for these newly released pieces as current, either 2018 or 2019 because that is when they were worked into their current state. This image was originally photographed in 2008. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ......This new series of Black and White images I am offering have been given the “Ansel Adams” treatment. I have developed a technique for pulling clarity and drama out of the original image files in much the same way Ansel Adams did although my workflow is strictly digital. The final Giclee print is produced on a fine art luster finish, archival substrate for both the original prints and the open edition prints. These large original prints are shipped rolled in a tube. open edition prints are available on canvas as well. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ......
